| Public Visioning Meeting The Public Visioning session for area residents of Bovey, Keewatin, Coleraine, Calumet and Marble is set for Thursday, February 26. The session is an opportunity for the public to participate in the process and help set community goals. The session will include an introduction and review of the planning process, and individual community break-out discussions. Each community will identify community assets and issues and participate in a visioning exercise. The Public Visioning session was held at the Greenway High School in Coleraine on Thursday, February 26 from 6:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m. The public was encouraged to attend especially residents of Bovey, Keewatin, Coleraine, Calumet and Marble. | Project Background

| This effort is seeking to help communities prepare for the major industrial projects occuring in Itasca County and on Minnesota's Iron Range. The Comprehensive Plans will address Housing, Land Use & Zoning, Transportation, Economic Development, Utilities & Community Facilities, and Natural & Cultural Resources. The process is being facilitated by the Arrowhead Regional Development Commission, is funded by each of the five cities, the Blandin Foundation, and the Minnesota Housing Partnership. It is supported by the Greenway Area Business Association, the Greater Minnesota Housing Fund, and the Range Readiness Initiative. |
