| Bovey/Coleraine Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan

| The purpose of the Bovey/Coleraine Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan was to identify barriers and unsafe conditions for bicycle and pedestrians in the cities of Bovey and Coleraine. This plan also addressed Safe Routes to School (SRTS). The SRTS program is designed to work with school staff, students, and parents to evaluate the school’s surrounding, educate on the SRTS concept, enforce safety-related policies, and encourage participation. These key areas of evaluation, education, enforcement and encouragement help create a community where students can travel to school on their own and parents and school staff feel comfortable about their safety. Between August of 2007 and May 2008 ARDC assisted the Bovey/Coleraine Bicycle and Pedestrian Committee with the completion of a trails plan. The plan can be viewed by clicking on the link below.
