View a copy of the Cook County Comprehensive Trails Plan here

Background
The Cook County Comprehensive Trails Plan has been devleoped at the request of the County. The idea was formed following the Cook County Moving Matters Active Living Plan process led by Sawtooth Mountain Clinic in 2014.

The major goals of the plan are to implement policies that promote collaboration and efficiencies amongst user groups and land managers; promote safe, sustainable, and manageable trail systems that connect people and place; and develop multi-use trail networks with strategically-located trail hubs that help drive the local economy.
